Keeping Up With The Balcombs: The Honeymoon

After our wedding we went home to prepare for our honeymoon in Belize. We had a great time driving around the island in our golf cart, deep sea fishing, scuba diving with sharks at The Blue Hole (one of the world's most famous dives), feeding & petting crocodiles, and yes, partying. What would a Balcomb vacation be without a little booze!? ;-) We also were featured on a PBS special about the "Chicken Drop", a long time tradition at a local bar where you buy numbered squares, drop a chicken in a pen with numbers randomly placed on the squares, and whichever number the chicken shits on is the winner. Bo & I won, but before we could collect our $100 prize money, I had to get into the pen & clean up the chicken shit. It was great fun!

We had an awesome time on our honeymoon, even though a major hurricane threatened our stay. We got out of there in time and only had to leave the island (Ambergris Caye) a day early & stay on the mainland for a night.
