Fashion Disaster!!!

Okay, so not really.....and as most of you know, I'm not really up on the latest fashions anyway. But it sucks when you go to put on a shirt or pair of jeans that fit just fine a week or 2 ago & you can't even get the shirt over your belly or button your pants! I swear I must have tried on 6 0r 8 shirts before I found 1 that was somewhat acceptable (although I did have to keep pulling it down throughout the day -- it kept riding up trying to be a "belly shirt".....not good! esp. at the restaurant!). So, later in the day I took advantage of the fact that we now have a waitress & a cook & I went shopping. I found several cute shirts at target, & even bought my 1st pair of maternity shorts -- yea, the kind with that silly little elastic band. Now I'll be stylin'!!! NOT!!! ;-) Oh well, at least my shirts are cute & cover that area.

This morning I went to put on a pair of jeans that I figured would be a little snug, but I didn't count on them being to tight to even pull up over my ass! I wouldn't have even gotten in them with a crowbar! So then I pulled out some larger jeans that I never wear unless I'm going hiking or if it's cold & I need a little extra room for some leggings underneath.....uh, yea.....I think they shrunk! I can't even button them. Man! These jeans used to be huge on me & now they fit snuggly on my ass & legs. Bo says that the only parts on my body that have grown are my belly & my boobs, but I'm beginning to think that those aren't the only things growing afterall.

So, today I am 17 weeks (for some reason my counter at the top of this blog is off by a couple of days). Only 1 more month until we get to find out if we're having a little Bo or little Janet. I can't wait!!! Then we can start thinking a little more seriously about names. We have a couple in mind -- I like Spencer Alan for a boy (Bo's middle name is Spencer & Alan is a name that has been passed down throughout my family for generations). For a girl I like Taylor Lynn or Haley Lynn or Peyton Lynn. Bo doesn't like Taylor b/c several of our friends & family out here have a Taylor so it may be overkill. I've wanted Taylor for my little girl ever since I can remember, but I could certainly settle for 1 of the others, & of course Lynn is my middle name as well as my Daddy's, so I'd like to pass that down. Any other ideas? We'd love to hear them!

On the restaurant front, things are a bit slow right now, but we're blaming it on the weather & gas prices. Hopefully, things will pick up this weekend. It should be nice weather & we've heard that all the hotels around us are booked. We'll let y'all know how it goes! :-)

That's too funny with the clothes! I think we mommies can all recall that same moment for us! At least people know you're prego, everybody thought I was just "extra curvy" until I was about 7 mos along! Good luck with names, it can be tough, make sure to think of those kindergarden days and make sure it doesn't rhyme with anything cruel! Kids are mean! I like the idea of the family names, it really means a lot to the grands if you keep those special names and initials around! I vote for girl! They are awesome!
