Me & My Belly at 18 Weeks

Here are the latest belly shots. I'm 18 weeks now (even though the counter up top says differently). I had a doc appt. today & got to hear the heartbeat again. Man is that awesome! I don't think I could ever get tired of hearing that sound.....I know, I know -- corny! But it's so true! Anyway, the baby still sounds strong & healthy. He/she apparently is a very active little one according to the doc -- she had trouble keeping the doppler on him/her today; kept swimming away. Speaking of activity, I am pretty sure that I've been feeling the baby move a bit lately -- he/she isn't kicking yet, but I've definitely been getting those "lose your stomach", "gas bubbles", "hunger pains", "butterflies", etc. feelings that everyone describes when they talk about feeling the baby move. I really felt it a lot when Bo shined a flashlight at my stomach. We read that babies are sensitive to light, so shining a flashlight at your stomach will cause movement....and boy does it work! I hope we aren't torturing our child by doing that! :-) Oh well. I'm sure he/she will torture us plenty through the years, just like we did to our parents....esp. Bo! :-) Anyway, from what the doc said today, I can only guess that our child will be just as active (or hyper) as his/her daddy! Oh boy, now I'll have to deal with 2 of them -- SOMEBODY HELP ME!!! Haha! ;-)
