Pooh Room

Here are some pics of the Pooh Bear room that I promised. It's not quite finished yet -- we're still waiting on a border to come in & a couple other items for the walls, but it's getting there. Only 3 more weeks to go, but hopefully we'll have it all done by the time little Spencer arrives.

In other news, some of you know how freaked out I've been lately about the possibility of having a very large baby. A few weeks ago the doc (not my regular, just another one in the practice) said I was measuring 2 weeks ahead of schedule, which I was hoping meant that they had either gotten my due date wrong or I would just likely deliver early. He proceeded to tell me that I should not count on either of those scenarios, & instead to just expect a big baby. Needless to say, I've been freaking out ever since, with thoughts of having to squeeze out a 10+ pound baby....or that I would ultimately have to undergo a c-section (which also scares me). Anyway, at my latest appointment yesterday morning my doc (my regular doc this time) made me feel a whole lot better. She felt around & guessed that if I had the baby right now, he would probably weigh about 5-6 pounds. She urged me not to worry b/c by the time he is ready to come out he should be a normal sized baby in the 7-8 pound range. She just thinks that I have a lot of amniotic fluid floating around in there causing me to measure ahead of schedule. Let's hope she's right! She added that it really wouldn't matter how big or small he is b/c a 5lb baby hurts just as much coming out as a 10lb baby. GREAT!!! Now I'm scared again! Oh well. I guess if women have been doing this for all of eternity & lived to talk about it, then I'll probably survive too.
